Focus Lighting

Focus Lighting is an award-winning architectural lighting design firm based in Harlem, New York City. Founded in 1987, Focus Lighting has worked with world-renowned architects and interior designers on projects throughout the United States, South America, Europe, China and the Middle East. With projects ranging from large entertainment and retail facilities, to hotels, museums, restaurants, and high-end residences, Focus Lighting continues to create innovative lighting designs that are tailored to each individual project.

Recent projects designed by Focus Lighting include, The Atlantis Resort at The Palm, Dubai; Tavern on the Green; the Times Square Ball; Broadway’s new Helen Hayes and Lyric Theatres; and the new Ocean Wonders: Sharks! exhibit at the New York Aquarium. The firm has won over sixty design awards in its thirty years.

At the Holtschneider Performance Center, the home of DePaul University’s School of Music, the Focus team used two layers of linear LEDs to graze up the building’s warm brick exterior. Arm-mounted fixtures at the second level were aimed to
